Biology of Belief

Biology of BeliefBruce Lipton does a wonderful job with the Biology of Belief. I liked the story and the author's insights. I thought the book was great and found that it had good information. It is not an inspirational book, but it does bring life to the real world. One of the chapters was written by Dr. Benjamin Yale. He was Dr. YALE's advisor at the Harvard School of Medicine. Here is the chapter about Richard Dawkins:'So when the Ancient Egyptians thought they could solve the riddle of the Sphinx by making sculptures of their deities, they were in trouble, for only the gods can be made to move with motions. So they tried to make their own bodily motions with motionless bones, and even with branches or flowing, turning muscles. These motions, however, showed no signs of actually accomplishing anything: they moved a great deal, but had difficulty in being persistently directed. At last the Egyptian priests worked out the very difficult task of directing these motions, as well as dir ecting other things, like the motions of the sun and moon. They did this by the help of the most complicated of all their motion-decomposition systems. The way the system worked was by taking ten highly arranged bones, each placed in such a way that they all served a different purpose. To obtain the greatest variety in motion, two of these systems were combined, so that each of the two was designed for a completely different purpose. The results showed clear evidence of development. As our minds comprehend better the concept of nature, we can anticipate the present and foresee the future.'Our thinking systems are very similar to the systems developed by our distant ancestors. As we accumulate and form new ideas, we can use those ideas to plan the future. It is because we are ignorant of such knowledge that we continue to lead life in the most miserable manner possible.'Genetics and consciousness. This is what Science of Genetics looks at. The author talks about the importance of unde rstanding genetics and that without it, we will never understand how our consciousness, the life force that flows through us, works. How do you think our self-consciousness works? To conclude: Bruce Lipton does a great job with the Biology of Belief. You can read it online, if you want to. I learned a lot, and it was a fun read. It is one of those books that I would recommend to anyone and everyone, for it really educates on one level for all of us.Biology of Belief can also be found in the form of a wonderful e-book by Dr. Lipton's son, Eli Lipton. The e-book brings you up to date with modern advances, including the discoveries of Dr. Lipton. It is an exciting journey through today's consciousness and science.
